”Inspired by symbols, charts and educational science posters, but also by terms and words.

In the Met Office, Smoke is a designated present weather phenomena. Smoke is dry solid particles dispersed as a colloid in air and may come from pollution or large fires and can be seen at a distance from the observer.

It is meteorologically significant in that it may seed rain or affect aircraft navigation, the smoke need not cover the whole area of observation, It is not the same as smog a mixture of smoke and fog technically known as ‘day darkness ‘.”
